We are proud to share that Cancer Care Trust has made a significant donation to OSCAR’s Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity, an organisation doing vital work to combat brain tumours in children.
The charity was established in November 2014 by the parents and friends of Oscar Hughes, a brave 9-year-old who tragically passed away from Medulloblastoma in May 2014. Heartbreakingly, in May 2021, Oscar’s younger brother Milo also succumbed to a brain tumour, Choroid Plexus Carcinoma.
These devastating losses highlight an urgent need for progress. Treatments for children’s brain tumours remain incredibly harsh, and developing kinder, more effective therapies is essential. OSCAR’s Charity is unwavering in its mission to fund critical research that could lead to breakthroughs in treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
The charity collaborates closely with other organisations to maximise its impact, and we are honoured to support this meaningful cause.
Together, we can bring hope to families and work towards a future where no child has to endure such suffering.
